After checking the forecast the following day, we decided it was best to make a straight shot down to Cape Hatteras to catch some good conditions. Ten hours, 4 bathroom breaks, 3 food stops and 3 movies is what it took to get down to Naggs Head at 11 pm. We were able to find a west coast malt liquor energy drink favorite called Joose and a NC gas station favorite called Four Loko that helped us celebrate our arrival into North Carolina till 4am.

We woke up a bit early to see Ruben and Aaron in the lobby getting breakfast before continuing to Waves, NC. A trip that would have been easy, was fumbled by taking the wrong road and heading straight east instead of south for one hour. We knew that those marsh lands didn’t look right!

FINALLY! We made it into the Real Watersports complex with a greeting of staff, pros, industry heads, and of course WIND! Sorry, no waves yet, but the dock slider was getting fully sessioned. Reo and Ian were doing some sick strapless airs with their team mate Kevin Langeree.

I published some photos from this past weekend. I was in Rodanthe taking some pics when I found the motherload of hot boyz with kites =P I have more pics if any one is interested.
