East Coast USA Kitesurf Trip Part 2

East Coast USA Kite Surfing trip

Starting from Massachusetts, our East Coast USA kitesurfing trip headed 2 hours east to New London, Connecticut, to cross over to Long Island, NY, through an hour long ferry. Hearing that this would be the best chance of hitting a wind and wave combination. We were fortunate enough to be able to crash at Jon Modica’s house on Shelter Island for the night. Unfortunately, there still wasn’t enough wind so the Core kitesurf van continued it’s trip, turning some heads around the island.  Kevin Steen had to head home to Michigan for a week but would meet us at the Triple S.

From Long Island we continued to our second stop, New York City!  A four hour drive through wine country brought us to Manhattan.  Note To Ian:  No filming when entering the Plaza!  This was the first time Ian and Reo have been to the Big Apple.  They were stoked to check out the scene, the amount of people, and the big lights of time square.  You can only take a city this size and style for so long, especially if you eat and sleep oceans, wind, and waves.  Eating NYC pizza was a must before returning to our glorious hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn in New Jersey.
